What happened with the seaplane?

This is the question that many officials are asking in the wake of a seaplane crash that killed everyone on board on December 19th.

There are theories that the seaplane had some sort of crack in the wings that might have separated inflight. The hope was, with the retrieved voice recorder, that some clues to what happened would be revealed, but the recordings could not be deciphered.

This was considered to be a safe airline, with a solid history. CNN has the details on what the voice recorder did not reveal...

The history of the airline which had illustrious passengers such as Ernest Hemingway.
