Blast from the past - quick freeze airline food

Thursday July 6, 2006
It is hard not to see the charm in the earlier days of Air Travel. I came across this clip and story about the introduction of "quick freeze" airline food for an airline in 1949. If you listen to the original radio broadcast it is hard not to scoff a little when after describing the delectable inflight meals, the idea that the meals rivalled anything that could be cooked at home came up.

Really, truly, and sincerely said.

CBC Radio takes air travel back to 1949, and the amenities that greeted early air travelers in the 1930s.
