JetBlue has canceled about 25% of their flights today (Monday 19) so do check if you are flying on them today and tomorrow in case there are more last minute canceled flights.

Just received word from JetBlue that they are canceling flights on both February 17 and 18 to reset their schedule and crew rest issues. All flights to and from the following cities on JetBlue are canceled for Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday Feb. 18: Austin, Bermuda, Charlotte, Columbus, Houston, Jacksonville, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Portland, ME, Raleigh/Durham, Richmond.

JetBlue is of course setting up a refund/rebooking policy for affected passengers.

Are you affected? More information from JetBlue and canceled flights this weekend.

I am very concerned with the Airline companie’s lack of concern and truthfulness in general. When I booked a flight from DC to JFK airport on Saturday morning (Feb 17); I was not informed by Delta that they were having luggage issues. Had I known that when I booked the plane at 11 am (Flight 5278) that my luggage would be delayed more than a day and a half later - I would have taken other options into account (Amtrak). It is uncacceptable to me to be told by your telephone customer service that 800 to 900 pieces of luggage are also stranded and that should make it all better. Really? Jet Blue had stranded passengers and has apologized in public as well as compensated their passengers for the obscene disconvenience. I believe Delta Air Lines Inc. losing/stranded luggage issues warrants FCC and media attention.

Delta Airlines knowingly booked flights and did not notify their passengers that their luggage would not be forthcoming. You thought the lost revenue more important than the passenger’s comfort or regard.

I understand that because of the ice storm/weather; that there were delays with travel and so forth. What I am upset and find unacceptable is that Delta Airlines knowingly booked these many flights with the knowledge that we would not retrieve our luggage (in normal time) at the end of our trip. This was insensitive behavior and just plain greed.
