Air Attacks in Sri Lanka

The Tamil Tigers have launched air attacks close to Colombo airport in Sri Lanka. The airport in Colombo was temporarily shut down, and flights rerouted to India.

Given the precarious situation with the rebels, some airlines are beginning to suspend their flights to Sri Lanka, including Cathay Pacific. If you are traveling to Sri Lanka, it is a good idea to get in contact with the airline, and check their websites for updates.
