Harmony Airways Goes Bust

Friday March 30, 2007

Harmony Airways has announced that it will cease flight operations almost immediately. This small airline flew from Canada to Hawaii and Las Vegas. If you are booked either for a flight, or have a vacation package it is important to contact them. Flight ticket holders are eligible for a full refund. Flights from Toronto end on March 30, and from other cities on April 9.

The company cited market saturation (read - competition) as the reason for its demise. About 350 employees are being laid off.

Contact Harmony Airways and read their statement about ceasing operations.

A disgraceful way to close a business. Add to this the owner of the airline being stopped in a limousine which was being driven erratically through the streets of Vancouver, only to find him, with two prostitutes and a bag of illegal drugs!! This story was mysteriously suppressed by the media, so I guess his money is still intact and the press can be bought!

I would say this is NOT the individual who should ever be allowed to run an airline ever again!

I have a $200 Harmony Credit coupon which has not yet expired. Should I assume that they are no longer redeemable since Harmony has closed down?
