Now Even a Baby Can Get Kicked Off a Plane

Sunday July 15, 2007
Just when you thought that air travel horror stories couldn't get more nightmarish, it seems a crew member may have sunk to a new low. I was shocked enough that I had to read the report from Fox News twice.

Apparently, a child under two was kicked off a plane for repeating the phrase "bye bye plane" several times. Granted, it could be annoying, and difficult for the parent of the tot, but does that really warrant being taken off a flight?

Fox News reports that the flight in question was a Continental Express flight that was delayed for more than 10 hours. When the child kept saying the 'offensive' phrase, a flight attendant allegedly told the mother to medicate her 19 month old. When she refused to, it appears that mother and son were ushered off the plane. The airplane had returned the gate when the said attendant allegedly told the pilot that she was being threatened. But funny enough, several fellow passengers stated that no such threat was made by the mother or her 19 month old.
