Get There by Air - Petra

Sunday July 22, 2007
petra Many artifacts from Petra, located in modern day Jordan, have been making the rounds around the world so it may not be a surprise that this ancient place made the list of the New Seven Wonders of the World. There is still a lot of mystery that surrounds this city carved in stone, no precise dates of its founding exist.

What is clear is that it's known now for more than its appearance in an Indiana Jones flick. Petra is a cultural treasure.

Jordan's biggest airport in Amman is the easiest place to get to in order to begin your trek to Petra.

An amazing helpful tool i used in my last trip to Jordan 2008 was a mobile application called Ijazza (apperantly it means vacation in Arabic). It has lots of detailed informations about camps, hotels, restaurants, cafes, shopping, cinema… Imagine any info that you might need while visiting the country and you will find it in it.
i got it through facebook but they have an informative page http://www.ijazza.com
