Get There by Air - Christ the Redeemer Statue

Tuesday July 24, 2007
crHmm, wonder if everyone in Brazil voted for this one? The outstretched arms of the impactful Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro is oddly enough an icon of a city that is known worldwide for its raucous carnival. The statue that looms over the city is said to have been a gift from France, and made the list of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Rio's Galeao - Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport is the arrival point to start you in motion towards this photo op, and very popular Brazilian tourist spot.
