February - A Splurge or a Save = Unique Valentine's Day Gift of Flight
Saturday February 2, 2008
It's February, and if you are shopping around for a unique Valentines gift, then maybe you want to consider a flight. I've included an extreme splurge option, and a more reasonable one. Hey, if you are already floating on air, in love, why not really fly?
The Splurge - Flights to Antarctica Seeing the Undiscovered Continent - I've always thought a flight to Antarctica must be one of the most unusual flight options out there. It is very expensive, but definitely has a sense of adventure inherently attached to it, and unique to boot. There are still a few flight options through March, although most flights will start up again in November and December.
The Save - An Introductory Flight Lesson - Well I suppose nearly any flight seems reasonable, compared to one going to Antarctica. If you really want to soar, you can fork out $99 to one of the several hundred flight schools across the US and Canada for an introductory flight lesson. Put on those aviator sunglasses and feel what it's like to pilot a plane, albeit briefly.
