Airfare Specials this Week

Time for some airfare specials, where the marketing department definitely had fun naming the sales - these are a few of the sales on this week...

Virgin America has come up with a clever title/promo for its latest seat sale: "Virgin America Announces a Fare Sale That is Out of This World - Unbelievable Fare Opportunities (UFOs) Found From $59 SFO to LAX and $139 LAX to JFK. Must purchase by August 7. Travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Saturdays. Travel dates run from September 2 to December 17, 2008.

While the CFO is Away, Jetters Will Play! JetBlue Airways Launches Fall Sale With Fares the CFO Wouldn't Approve. One way specials start at $39. Sample airfares include Boston to Buffalo for $59. Book by August 6. Travel dates vary by destination - Northeast and Florida travels between September 3 and December 17, and travel between the Caribbean, Mexico, and Western states between August 11 and November 1.

I know it doesn't technically qualify as an airfare special but Orbitz is running a unique promotion. The idea is to fill a plane and you all go to the destination for free - airfare included. Details are available in the press release, and the contest is on now.
