Airfare Specials this Week

Some good airfare specials this week, a few blogged here, and more in the Air Travel Forum - including cheap flights to Central America and Europe.

JohnnyJet found several well-priced deals on Alaska Airlines. US - Canada Sale Fares on Alaska From $59 O/W. "Alaska has announced a new sale for travel in January and February. Fares start at $59 one-way or $118 round-trip, and Las Vegas, Palm Springs, San Francisco, and Vancouver are included."

Air Canada has a sale on flights through November 2009! "With this deal from Air Canada you can pick when you want to go and save up to 50% on your fares. This sale runs from now all the way past next Thanksgiving!"

For a little more incentive, there is no fuel surcharge and you get two checked bags in FREE of charge. Sample one way fares include: Philadelphia - Toronto $103, New York - Edmonton $150."

There is an End-of-the-Year Sale on Southwest Airlines. Book by December 29 for travel dates between January and March. Kayak has the details - "Everyone is used to Southwest Airlines offering sale fares, but they are obviously looking to get ahead with filling seats next year - they are offering their Big Year-End Sale with fares through March 11 starting at just $49 each way. You can fly from/to over 80 cities across the nation. "
