Airfare Specials This Week

The end of August and early September usually means great airfare deals, and a decent selection for the coming weeks.

Southwest Airlines is having a nationwide sale. Book by September 3. Travel dates run from September 9 until the beginning of January with certain blackout dates over Thanksgiving and December.

Sample Airfare - $89 one-way between Cleveland and Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Air Canada has specials for this weekend and Labor Day weekend - "Special sell off fares to Canada! Get away this weekend or next Take advantage of these one-way sell off fares, specially designed to offer you great savings on last minute getaways. You have until this Sunday evening to book. These fares allow you to travel starting from 7PM EDT on Fridays and anytime on Saturdays, Mondays and Tuesdays."

Sample one way - Pittsburgh - Toronto $98

Canada to Europe - cheap - on Icelandair. Quick sale ends August 28. From $229CAD roundtrip (plus taxes) out of either Toronto or Halifax.

Hawaiian Airlines interisland fare with travel dates for the month of September and a book by date of September 30.

Sample Airfare - $24.99 one way - includes tax.

Australia to the United States on United Airlines . Book by September 1. Sale is for travel between now and mid December. "Experience all the U.S. has to offer with daily flights to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and any of the 173 U.S. cities United flies to, for one low fare. Add up to two additional city stops to your itinerary for only AUD50* each."

Asiana has its routes from the United States to Asia on sale. No specific book by date, but complete travel by November 30.
