One day only - $15 one way on JetBlue's inaugural flights between Fort Lauderdale - San Francisco on November 17. I just checked, and seats are still available for both directions on the 17th.

Southwest Airlines Vacations has a sweet special on for several ski destinations in Utah, Nevada and Colorado.

Basically a buy one get one free on airfare, hotel and ski passes! Serious savings possible - more snow for your dough.

The book by date is November 26 - date restrictions / blackout dates vary.

Okay - time to start the week off with a good special.

Allegiant Air is offering a deal - you buy one air/hotel package, you get airfare free for a companion. This deal applies for travel to Las Vegas (in the airline world, also known as Lost Wages).

You must book by November 18, but another sweet part of this special is that travel dates run all the way until the end of May 2010.

Traveling with a really young one? Currently, you do have the choice between carrying a child under two years old as a lap baby (no seat) on almost every airline, or purchasing a seat for your child. If you choose to purchase a seat, or chance it and try for an unoccupied seat for your child, the question then becomes whether you can bring the car seat you already own on board.

Having traveled with the under 2 set, I can tell you that it really can be confusing. And airlines are starting to restrict what you can check in for free, the types of strollers you can bring to the gate - and more. So let's look at what makes an infant car seat allow-able or not.

For those who want to find a deal that includes air, hotel and possibly more, I have been keeping my eyes out for good package deals - and have been including them more in the Airfare Specials this Week blog entries and in the Airfare Travel Deals This Week, and the Air Travel Forum.

I did find a pretty good deal but it ends on November 4 - before the next installment of Airfare Specials this Week, so thought I'd start the week off by sharing the special. Barbados is one of those expensive islands in the Caribbean - it's farther away and the airfares tend to be higher than many other Caribbean destinations. This is what makes the package deal to Barbados particularly sweet - for what would normally be the price of airfare, you get some hotel accommodations thrown in for good measure.

Cheap Caribbean is hosting this sale to Barbados. Must book by November 4, and travel is through mid-December. Details on the deal and how to book are provided in the link above.
