London Heathrow Airport - Still a Chaotic Destination?

Wednesday August 16, 2006
London
London Heathrow is still reeling from the foiled terrorist plot, but now the chaos of the past week is adding up in several ways. You can now bring a carry-on out of London, but delays are still snarling flights. Flights are still being cancelled, but it is hoped that things will return to normal capacity in the next two weeks. Checked luggage is being lost and misplaced in higher numbers than usual.

It is always a good idea to check with the airline if you are going to be flying to / through / or from London.
Heightened security measures are in effect at many airports.
BBC is reporting on flights returning to normal at some London-area Airports.
British Airways is considering seeking compensation with all of the flight cancellations and lost luggage costs.
