Airfare Specials this Week

In the flurry of online holiday shopping, there are some airfare specials to be had online.

Virgin America is starting up a few new routes in the spring and is offering advance introductory airfares. For example, Los Angeles - Seattle starts up on April 8, 2008 with one-way airfares starting at $99. Must book by January 17, 2008.

JohnnyJet found some decent domestic airfares on Delta that can be booked until December 31. Sample airfares are noted by Smarter Travel, and include $218 for Chicago - Salt Lake City roundtrip.

Sometimes an air and hotel deal can be cheaper than airfare booked on its own. This seems to be the case with the winter / spring special with Tourcrafters. Their winter Barcelona, Spain special for 4 nights including flight, breakfast and hotel starts at $595 per person for January, and $640 through until the end of March from New York. Other cities are available with add-on airfares such as $20 more from Chicago.
