The U.S. considers cameras inflight

By Arlene Fleming, About.com

CNN is reporting that the United States Federal government is considering on board cameras to monitor airplanes inflight.

Boeing has been developing a satellite system that would allow for video cameras to be installed on board that could be monitored from the ground. The belief is that the presence of cameras could thwart, or indicate potential acts of terrorism in the air.

Early tests were conducted in January and February 2003. The FAA advises that further tests will be performed. But if all is successful, you may have extra eyes on you inflight.
