Airline Magazines - Inflight Entertainment, and Something to Read During Flights
More Magazines...

By Arlene Fleming, About.com

  • Northwest Airlines offers NWA Traveler as its inflight/online magazine. I particularly like their Takeoffs section.
  • US Airways touts U.S. Airways Magazine as the business traveler's companion and includes travel articles and information.
  • Hemispheres, the inflight magazine of United Airlines seems to be fully available to Internet users. There are lots of fun and interesting travel facts, an online version of its crossword puzzle, and gourmet themed articles among the many offerings provided for its online readers.
  • Hana Hou! the inflight magazine of Hawaiian Airlines gives the online reader lots of advice as to their "best of" the Hawaiian Islands. Feature articles from present and past issues are also available for reading.
  • Skymall is a popular inflight shopping catalogue so why not have its contents available for online sales as well!
  • Jet Wings is the inflight magazine of Jet Airways, a growing Indian airline with increasing international air service. Beware - the online version can sometimes be a bit slow to load.
  • Southwest Airlines Spirit is more about reader surveys and online registration than readily available articles or other features.
  • Destination guides, health and beauty articles and off beat travel articles are some of the features you can find in Easy Jet's online version of its inflight magazine, simply called EasyJet.
  • Scanorama is the inflight magazine of SAS and has a brief synopsis of what lies within its current issue. The online site offers downloadable city guides.
  • Lufthansa Magazin presents a limited number of travel articles online.
  • Air Mandalay's (Myanmar)Air Mandalay - Golden Flight is a photographically rich online version of their inflight magazine.
  • Voyeur Virgin Blue Australia's inflight magazine is chock full of articles related to travel in Australia.
The inflight magazine may not be an integral part of the air travel experience, but depending on the quality of the magazine it can prove an interesting diversion. The online versions of inflight magazines are not a regular part of what airlines have to offer, though a few airlines are making efforts to give online travelers access to their inflight reads.
