For a limited time, a few airlines are offering free internet on board their flights until at least the end of 2009. The same thing is true of many airports, with dozens of airports having free WiFi until January 2010.

1. AirTran Airways - Free Internet on Board

For flights until the end of 2009.

2. Virgin America - Free Internet on Flights

Dates for free internet are from mid-November through mid-January - in time for the holidays.

3. Airports - Free Internet at Airports

It's been free at airports like Singapore's Changi Airport for years, but now, for a limited time, it's free at 47 more airports across the United States. Offer provided by Google until January 15, 2010.
