Travel Aggregators

- Qixo

From , former About.com Guide

Of all the travel aggregators profiled in this article, this is the one that doesn't seem to completely fit in with the rest of the pack. They charge you a service fee to use them, and you must have a U.S. address in order to purchase from them.

The $20 fee will likely drive customers to other aggregators that do not charge for booking with them. I like that you can search for hostels with them, which goes beyond just having the usual hotel options, but for airfare, Qixo would not be the site that I would look for the best price.

Some points about Qixo -
  • registration required
  • $20 service fee charged per ticket (unlike other travel aggregators)
  • gives you a waiting time frame so that you know when the results of your search will be ready
  • must have a credit card with a U.S. address
  • hostels can be included in hotel searches
