Travel Around Asia - Laos

TravelGator came up with the idea of trips to different parts of Asia. They looked at approximate airfares from Beijing, and included a few other pointers. The gentle country of Laos is the focus of this quick trip tip.

Airfares were found using the TravelGator flight search tool. Airfares are for one person return in coach.

TravelGator suggests to, "Start with Vientiane for history and architecture, then catch a spectacular boat ride down the Mekong river from north to south, where you can swim with the freshwater Iruwaddy dolphins, go whitewater rafting, or just jump out and float down the river in your life jacket and (they'll pick you up an hour downstream)."

Roundtrip from Beijing to Vientiane via China Eastern Airlines will run around $1300, and is about an eight hour flight.
