Revised Airport Security Measures for Items Allowed on Board

By Arlene Fleming, About.com

The regulations for flights originating in Canada are somewhat similar to those for the United States.
  • Individual containers must be 3oz (90ml) or less
  • Containers do not need to be labeled
  • All containers must fit in a 1 quart (1 liter), clear, resealable bag
  • Passengers are permitted to move their liquids into smaller, 3oz containers
  • The clear, resealable bag must be removed from the carry on and put separately in a bin to be screened
  • Existing exemptions such as medications still apply
