Under 2, and at the Airport Alone

Monday May 19, 2008
air canada It could have turned out to be a bad story. A family left their 22 month old toddler at the airport on May 12, 2008, and continued on their flight out of Vancouver. It seems that several family members were traveling, each thinking the other had the young child with them. Instead, the non-English speaking child was stranded, alone, at one of Canada's biggest airports.

Air Canada agents stepped in, and the family was tracked down on a flight to Winnipeg. Air Canada footed the bill to return one of the parents to pick up the little boy, and fly the two of them to Winnipeg together to reunite the toddler with the family that accidentally left him behind, at the airport alone.

All Fired Up

Sunday May 18, 2008
A few weeks ago there was a flight that had an emergency landing due to a fire on board. Well now it seems the fire was not accidental. A flight attendant who was working the route from Minneapolis to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada may have been unhappy with working that flight, and is being charged with setting the fire.

I know sometimes people don't enjoy their job, but putting other people's lives at risk is not the way to show your displeasure.

The Associated Press has the details of the case of the fired up flight attendant.
